Job Description

G3 Boats is seeking a driven and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance our production operations. This role is responsible for evaluating current manufacturing processes and implementing new solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead projects, develop engineered solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing systems while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes and systems
  • Increase production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
  • Develop and implement innovative manufacturing solutions
  • Lead process improvement and process development projects of moderate to large scope
  • Collect, analyze, and report production and process data
  • Develop systems that optimize all phases of the production process
  • Provide recommendations and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage cost and timeline constraints
  • Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions
  • Apply and promote manufacturing best practices and standards
  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and quality-related issues
  • Research and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods
  • Determine manufacturing costs using standard or customized approaches
  • Lead cross-functional teams and support implementation of new processes
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure smooth transition of new processes into production

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or process engineering
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience with robotic systems and automation preferred
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing methods, equipment, and tooling
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with process standards and safety regulations (OSHA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors

  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
