Real Estate Development Manager
Job Description
The Real Estate Development Manager is responsible for all steps involved in developing homes that enable TC Habitat to scale its building strategies and meet its housing production goals. These steps include negotiating with sellers, meeting with public agency staff, working with consultants on due diligence, collaborating with designers to develop site and conceptual architectural plans, managing the land entitlement and public land sale approval process, and assisting with or directly overseeing the application for and administration of public funding grants. The Real Estate Development Manager also participates in internal and external home sales processes.

Required Qualifications
Education, credentials, and experience:
- Minimum three years’ experience in real estate development, affordable housing development and finance, or project management.
- Some combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience may substitute for the experience requirement above.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Personal auto insurance compliant with TCHFH Driver’s Policy.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues and proactively acts and follows through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them.
- Project Management: Leads the work of a team to achieve all project goals within the given constraints.
- Planning and Prioritization: Plans, organizes, and adjusts work activities and resources while mitigating risks and issues.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with others, inside and outside the organization, to achieve shared goals.
- Process Management: Implements effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
