This is an onsite position located in either Louisville KY, Princeton IN, Paris KY, or Montgomery AL with up to 50% travel.

POSITION NAME: Engineer

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Industrial experience of at least 5 years (preferably in auto industry with tire / wheel manufacturing or assembly a plus). Experience related to equipment including one or more of the following is required; installation / design / manufacture. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting is required. Experience with servo controllers and human interfaces preferred. Project management in automated equipment is preferred.

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Accountable for managing the start up of new tire and wheel assembly plants from inception to completion. Also manage the implementation of new capital equipment projects generated by engineering changes or improvement in processes. Position requires regular travel to plant locations. Responsible for remaining current on available technologies as related to tire and wheel assembly and automated equipment. Onsite and remote assistance in designing, installing, and launching equipment is essential. Responsible for communicating with the Director of Engineering while reporting directly to an assigned Senior Engineer

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Interact with customers and suppliers, i.e., understanding customer requirements and specifications.
  2. Specify equipment, layouts for new operating facilities, Engineering Changes or process improvements that meet customer requirements and internal cost targets.
  3. Manage the purchasing, build, installation and launch of capital equipment projects.
  4. Engage in problem solving activities with ENOVAPREMIER, LLC, team members, customers, and suppliers.
  5. Ensure equipment meets all processing requirements prior to starting it in production.
  6. Ensure that new equipment follows OHSA and ENOVAPREMIER, LLC regulations and programs and maintain an acceptable level of performance against accident
  7. Create, implement, and maintain ENOVAPREMIER, LLC equipment & controls standards for new equipment.
  8. Implement and maintain remote access via software to all Plants for all engineering staff members.
  9. Improve the troubleshooting capability of maintenance technicians and plant staff. Including, but not limited to training and implementing visual fault displays and monitoring systems.
  10. Review and monitor PLC changes in all facilities for safe and proper implementation into the process.
  11. Lead or assist in controls changes for modifications to equipment due to part changes, process changes or improvement activity.
  12. Assist with training in PLC/Servo/VFD training to the company's technical staff.
  13. Assist in specifying of new equipment in the controls area.
  14. Readily participate in engineering's rapid response support to plants needing assistance.
  15. Participate in Engineering hotline rotation
  16. Cross train and learn Ignition (MES)
  17. Other duties as assigned.
