Job Description
Full-time faculty members are professional educators whose primary responsibility is to provide a quality education for Central Arizona College students. Faculty members perform instruction-related and other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, facilitator and evaluator of learning.
Instructor will be teaching 15 to 20 inmate/students, at the Arizona State Prison - Florence Complex. Position is supported and funded through Arizona Department of Corrections, with a consistent and long history of contract renewal.Position is full time - 12 months per year. Benefits provided by Central Arizona College includes medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/sick leave, life insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement for employee and dependents.
- Will teach SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Oxy fuel, plasma cutting, and layout and design.
- Class responsibilities include but are not limited to: lecture and lab instruction, monitoring student progress, supervise student projects, curriculum development, attendance, and other specific duties that support student learning and college mission and vision.
- Instructor will be teaching 15 to 20 inmate/students, at the Arizona State Prison - Florence Complex.
- Five years of occupational experience and current certification from the American Welding Society or willing to obtain certification within first year.
- Special Position Condition: Applicant must be able to pass and maintain Arizona Department of Corrections security clearance.
